I can't wait to see the Angry Tired Teachers rock out on Sat. May 30th at the Berkeley Community Theater!

They're going to bring the house down fighting for social security fairness.

See you there!

Teachers who picketed in front of LAUSD headquarters came off like a bunch of bullies on election day (for some propositions that were futile quick-fixes for the state budget) and students and illegals who marched with them came off like idiots who never heard of Countrywide or the $55 trillion national debt. The voters defeated the propositions by a landslide. It was great! It was better than the finale of "24"! lol

We need to fund education so we can help keep young people on the right track.

We need our Unions, teachers and groups like the Angry Tired Teachers to help fight for fair pay to set an example to their students who might want to become educators themselves one day.

It's just too easy to blame economic problems on the poor and helpless.

Angry Tired Teachers ROCK!!!
Thank you ATT Band, Keep fighting for our Students and teachers everywhere!!

Like I said, to fund education you need tax revenue! Over 90% of our budget is wasted on Illegals. The poor and the helpless you talk about do not care about education. They dropout and waste the billions we pay to teach them only to join gangs or get locked up in jail, where we have to pay for hospitals, social workers, courts, police, jails, guards ..etc. Billions that should go to Education. People that CTU caters to, but do not contribute back to society but rather bankrupt our state!

UC Regents and the TA Union went into arbitration on salary negotiations because they wanted to increase my $8.00 salary to $15. The Unions eventually lost, because TAs are not teachers. Because of this Union fiasco, thousands of Lations & Black students flunked Physics. And to make matters worst the TA Union disintegrated and the University black listed them and hired new undergrad TAs, leaving most of my friends without a job. All because the Unions wanted a piece of the $8.00/hr wage.

Your better job paying 2x minimum wage has a yearly salary of $16 000. That is less than $1400 / month working full time! This is sad because even if you had this better paying job in college, you still be $15 000 in debt, $5000 dollars more! But to make matters worst, with your meager salary of $1400 / month - rent & bills you will be lucky to save $500 a month to pay back your student loan + interest! At this rate it will take you over 10 years! All thanks to SAC. catering to illegals!
