This is very good, and far less stylistically removed from later Divine Comedy releases that I had been led to expect. I can only assume that there are legal or contractual reasons for the non-appearance of this album to date in a re-released form. I'd gladly buy it!
The songs may be (relatively) callow by the astronomically high standards of the later Divine Comedy, but it's obvious even here that Neil Hannon was going to be a songwriting/musical force to be reckoned with.
