@guitarast Unless you give them a reason the government or anyone else could car less what you are doing. You are just one of over 300 million people. I personally would like to see more car thieves get arrested. Until I see examples of these systems being abused I'm not going to worry about it. The beninfits outweigh the risk.

This all sounds good in theory, but the police in larger cities don't take much priority on a car theft. They will send on officer out and will take a police report and will tell you they will look into it. I can see it now.
Owner:I have onstar on the line now and know the exact location on the car.
Police:Oh really well if we find it we will let you know.
Owner:No we know where it is and they want to talk to you
Police: There is nothing we can do now, call you insurance company.

Why are you comparing an X3 to a Tahoe?!
An X3 is a cheap, poor imitation of an offroad car. Its shocking offroad, has low ground clearance, has the WORST ride in the history of 4x4s, has crude and jerky petrol engines and can't do shit offroad so why are you comparing it to a Tahoe?
At least a Tahoe looks like it can do the job.
