Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize in Literature, American author Ernest Miller Hemingway is seen in rare video footage which captures his time spent in Cuba with Fidel Castro during the 1950's. Approximately a decade earlier, Hemingway is shown in the South of France -- a place that he openly shared as being one of his favourites. Watch it here on LIM MEDIA QUICK VIEW. • @CalebBalderstone what have you done with your life ?

  • What a loathsome individual he truly was. His alleged fluency in French & Spanish is most likely yet more spurious aggrandisement judging by the hesitancy in which he reads this simple statement. An example of the power of the American media to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, this man is the most overrated coward ever to have sullied the face of literature. The best thing he did was to accidentally blow his brains out whilst simulating fellatio on his ‘favourite’ gun. Total bell-end.

  • Okay, lets give the guy a break. It looks like this footage is from the last years of his life, a life filled with heavy drinking binges, concussions, depression, generally rough living...besides, apparently he suffered from a form of diabetes and liver disease in his last years. Hell, his drinking was such, towards the end of his life, that he could very well have been inebriated here. No wonder his Spanish is slow.

  • So from this i assume he was able to speak French and Spanish! Lovely--

  • whats the music at the end??? Sounds fabulous!!!

  • Hemingway vive!

  • one of his houses was at cojimar habana del este

  • I think he was ill.

  • he's a writer not a speaker.

  • The dude was regularly visiting Spain since his arrival in Paris in 1922, he was regularly visiting Cuba since moving to Key West in 1928, he lived in Cuba from 1938 to 1959, and this is his best Spanish? Epic Fail, Ernesto. Ugly American!
