Texas high school football. This is the touchdown catch made by Terrence Avie in the Texas 5A State Championship football game between the Katy Tigers and the Pflugerville Panthers on December 22, 2007 in the Alamodome in San Antonio. It is arguably one of the best catches ever made in a State Championship game.

Terrence started from just outside the 40 yard line and caught the ball on the goal line. The time elapsed was about 5.25 seconds. The run is in full pads and helmet plus having to go around the defender. Adjusted for weight and dealing with the defender, then, that's about a 4.5 40 yard dash.

2.55 seconds elapse from the snap to the moment Bo Levi Mitchell releases the ball. The ball is in the air for 2.7 seconds. All in all a very fast speed by Terrence and a very fast score.
