I agree, I'd prefer an ad that is more technical.
This one is more like: Look flashing lights, Look a dancing lady, please give us 6000 dollars.

I saw this thing in person omg it looks fucking amazing! even better then the Pioneer kuro elite for P.Q. IMO I'd say it's with the RRP of $6,999, to bad I can't afford one of these beasts =( And it ain't too badly priced against plasma's and lcd's of today either, the only equivalent tv is the Pioneer kuro elite pro-151fd(60 inches) and it's suggested retail price is $6500!

Anyone know if this TV has any form of lag which would prevent gaming? (As in, does it have a good refresh rate) I think that since this TV is using laser technology which obviously travels at the speed of light, i hope that means that this TV is just as quick to produce an HD image. Then again, i might be and probably am making a bad assumption about the tech of this TV. Having no image lag would mean this TV will be flawless to me.

this TV is already out dated the Japanese are making a new high definition called ultra high definition that will be ready for the consumer in 2016-2020
-
The newer plasmas now only use like 130 - 150 watts average... : P

Everything is outdated by the time you buy it. I would imagine that laser reaction time would be faster than lcd. Maybe not plasma. technology and your tv can only help so much on your fps skills. If you suck, don't blame tv. your internet connection lags more than a tv. How is .02 msec going to help vs 2msec .when your internet is 100msec and you suck in first place.

fucking bastards i just spent a shitload getting my soon to be outdated 3d tv

@believingisseeingit every single LCD/Plasma/LED TV lags, my tv has 33ms of lag. the old tv set (that box) has no lagging, good for gaming, but the resolution lacks for playing on PS3 which supports 1920x1080 resolution...
do you know how many Mili-seconds of lag does this TV do? or it has no lagging?
also sorry my bad english

@saved83 1080p at 120hz

I'm really interested, but I hear these TVs crop the picture. For a luxury-priced product that is unacceptable.

@chan0chap this guy needs to get out more
Everyone, also note that in terms of energy consumption, it is one of the "greenest" TVs for it's screen size. A typical 60-65" Plasma will use about 500-600 Watts (gulp) - the 65" LaserVue uses ONLY 135 Watts during operation! This television costs much less to operate than anything else around this screen size. If you are looking at the top-of-the-line flat panel, LaserVue is a much better, more environmentally-friendly choice, in terms of energy use.

I understand there is a market for "upscale products," but I strongly believe the prices for these LaserVue's would have to be cut in HALF for it to be successful over the long term. At the prices they're asking, coupled with the rear projection technology, these sets are several years too late, IMO. However, if those prices come WAY DOWN, then... perhaps.

Hi MJM,
Remember it was not too long ago that even 50" flat panels were priced out of the reach of most consumers. Whenever a new, ground-breaking technology comes to market, it will command a price premium, and this is one of those products - please remember this is the world's FIRST LASER-POWERED HDTV!

We should wait for the 52 inch version.
This TV will be much more cheaper...

Sorry, there will be no 52" version.
