Broken Laptop, I need help/suggestions.

I apologize for the video quality. I had to make it with a very old smartphone. This is a: Gateway MT6459 Notebook and it is rather old. More than two years old to be a little more precise. It has been sitting in a corner of my room for more than six months because of this issue. I should probably mention the issue, huh? Well when I press the power button a few lights come on and it makes a low fan-like sound, but that's it. I have tried to fix it myself and so have some of my friends. I have tried to turn it on without the battery but with the power cable. With both at the same time. I have also attempted to do the reset inwhich you hold the power button down for a while. Something similar happned with my brother's, and we have the very same laptop. His randomly started working again, but I can't quite seem to be that lucky.

Any suggestions?

I would simply pay someone to fix it, or buy a new computer, but I am unemployed at the moment. =/

looks like something is fried id reccomend getting a new one
