Rattling noise - Chevy s10 98 2.2L

did you fix the noise, i have an s10 98 in auto zone they sell alluminum gasket they last longer

the cat is done.. the honey comb inside.has came loose and rattles. my s10 did the same thing. i just took a bar and busted it all out. had take it off

ok my brother had the same problem, where the pipe comes out of the block(has three bolts) there is a donut, and basically its corroded and breaks off, those pieces go straight to the cat and fuck it up, so you will need that pipe like 70 bucks, and the cat

yep, thats the cat, more technically, the cat shield, you can pry it off with a flat head, or just cut it off. i just cut mine off and put a flowmaster 40 series in place of the muffler. sounds decent. (for a 4 banger)

The cats junk. Just cut the cat off, or replace it. Problem solved.
