I just discovered Marco Rubio... a class act.

He will be President or Vice President some day.

wohs - you said it perfectly. You weren't alive during the Reagan years so, as is typical of young people, you have no experience to draw from.

If you knew Reagan, you would want him. The country was never more alive and on top of it's game as when he was President.

Fast Forward to Rubio.....he's the next best thing.

as a young voter who never even lived while Reagan was president, it's tiring to here the hero worship. I dont want another Reagan. I want a new face that'll be look to as a standard! A new American standard in leadership.

Sure he's a regular Cubano Reagan redux...once you airbrush out Reagan's tax hiking, his protectionism, his support for nuclear disarmament and torture bans...also, it should be said Rubio seems a lot more versed in policy than the famously clueless Gipper, whose handlers rarely let him babble off the cuff.

But of course this about co-opting a kind of cult iconography, not ACTUALLY being like any flesh and blood Hollywood politician.
