"True Grit" was originally proposed for the 1971-72 season, but wasn't seen until 11/'72, and became the highest rated film in A.B.C.'s history (surpassing "Love Story").

4:41 - I suppose we all know what happened during the ABC Sports/News telecasts of the 1972 Olympics and the historical event that changed the world on September 5, 1972. Anybody wanna take a guess?

"The Paul Lynde Show" would flop badly...Lynde next starred in ABC's second idea, "Temperature's Rising", centered around a hospital. That didn't work either. ABC had alot of flops that season, most did not pan out.

Pamelyn Ferdin was in this one. She once did the voice of Lucy in a Charlie Brown special and then went on to star in The Toolbox Murders. I wonder whatever happened to her.
