Love + Hate

Love + Hate is a passionate and provocative modern love story that makes pertinent points about race relations in modern Britain. Confounding and confronting deeply rooted preconceptions.

Set in a racially divided Northern town. Adam has been brought up in a home and community that fosters racial hatred. Naseema belongs to a new generation of Asian youth who have taken up the violence offered to them to reclaim the past.

Naseema's elder brother Yousef is annoyed with bigots, confronting the mounting violence and is insistent that his sister conforms to his opinion of a good Muslim girl. However his attitudes toward religion, race and women is questionable when he embarks on a relationship with Michelle.

Although initially resistant Adam & Naseema cannot avoid their mutual attraction while working together in a DIY store. They embark on a relationship and discover they share a secret desire to break free of their small town and its inhibitions, which threatens to bring down their families as well as themselves.
