Fox really stepped it up on his last life...but it was nowhere near olimar! yay pikmin!

This play isn't even that great anymore, however it was very good a month ago when it happened, prior to NA release. This can be considered pretty standard speed now, nothing special. The american and japanese versions are the same speed, you just have some catching up to do in your own ability.

These guys are really going at a quick pace! The pikmin pluck, jumping & falling speed, etc. seem to be much faster than how I play. Is it because they're such great players, is it sped up, or is the Japanese version just faster that the American?

Really good match, and i really admire NC-echo for being such a good player with olimar, i read his guide and it's outstanding, i'd love to see a tactics part versus fox tho :)

The reason he didn't do it often here was because the Fox was putting constant pressure on him the entire match, making it very hard for Olimar to take out any Pikmin or use his range to his advantage.
Overall it was a very good match. Well played by both players.

I might be wrong, but I'm just guessing.
You may be using your Side-B/F-Smash near the edge, causing the Pikmin to fall off and disappear, thus you having to repick them. If you pay attention, Echo tries to make sure that they don't fall off so that he doesn't recharge as often.

NC-Echo is amazing with Olimar, but it seems he doesn't pick replacement pikmin as often as I do, or Pikmin whistle as much as I do.
Is it me doing it wrong?

That's actually the blue Pikmin throwing Fox. You'll notice he also threw with the red Pikmin and it didn't go far at all.
