Doyle is the consummate hustler. There is no year in his adult life that he did not win, & lose, a million dollars. When Stu Ungar beat Doyle for the 1980 WSP, Doyle talked Stuey into playing golf for money the next day. Doyle won an amount equal to the WSP prize money. Ungar had never played golf before.

@dannyoo2 where did doyle say this? I heard him say Ungar wasnt even in his top 10 pics of greats. He admits Ungar was a great tourny player but thats it, a lousy cash player. All you need to know is Doyle is available right now to play as high as anyone wants after 50 years of playing, Ungar burn out years ago. doyle is a winner and a survivor.

@bluecadillac That's not because of Doyle's quality, that's because Stu Ungar was absolutely fearless. He did not care about money and would bet on anything. Don't talk about the real champions if you don't know them.

I know doyles brunson is good, but compared to Stu ungar he's really nothin. He admitted it himself
