Back in 1988, when MTV created their spinoff network, VH-1, a show was created which featured new jazz, new-age, and prog-rock... instrumental contemporary music, believe it or not! Special EFX (Chieli Minucci & George Jinda) hosted the show one afternoon. This is one of the clips of our debut as talking heads. This was the first time either of us had spoken into the lens of a video camera. We'd just released our first concept video, 'Hands of the Healer', from our 4th CD, Mystique.
Your name is actually pronounced "Kaylee"? Geez. The first time I saw the name on an album cover I thought it was "Cheelee". Then on a smooth jazz radio station we have here in the Midwest, I heard the DJ say it as "Chaylee" after one of your tunes. Imagine George having the common name while also having the accent. Ha. Anyway, thanks for the uploads and glad to see more attention and uploads on jazz music on Youtube recently. About time!
