If Kindred: The Embraced or any show based off of V:TM were to be made now, it would outshine any other vampire show. Of course, it would require new characters, in a new city and a new cast.

Apparently Showtime or some other group was considering taking it and saving it though, before he died. Then the whole project just became hopeless.

Fox had already cancelled KtE prior to Mark Frankel's untimely death. Another brilliant executive decision, huh? People just assumed that it was cancelled because of Mark's death. It was probably easier for Fox to not correct the assumption. Great video Lillie!
