Dorothy found me on craigs list in referrence to paint damage repair.
She called a couple of bodyshops with quoats of around three hundred dollars plus and a day with her vehicle. I sanded out the scratches for her with two thousand grit, then once sanded, I compounded out the finish followed with the polishing compound and finally, the paint sealer for paint protection.
This is how you sand out deep scratches.
This is what you call pushing the clear coat to the limit.
The results were better than shop quality without the cost or the vehicle being tied up.
We use and recommend Xpert Polishes and sealers for this work, get them at georgesmobiledetailing.com

it`s easy to understand the clear coat in the structure of your paint is the most harder protecction against the decoloration, when you put a sand paper against let a clear coat more thin, of course the surface its more like a baby butt, but the protective layer becomes more weak.

@kyle51895 it depends on how deep the scratch is, if its goes past the clear coat it cant be removed, but it can be well blended by a skilled detailer.

@george230 This guy is nothing, anyone can do what he just did. and body shop quality is usually pretty lack luster, time is money and half ass work is the norm for most businesses. The problem your average person is too dumb to notice poor work.

@Albertgr1980 if you love you're car paint dont let it get scratched in the first place. If you really love your car paint you'll take it to someone like me and i'll do this to your entire car, except i'll use a DA sander and level the paint to the point where there is no more orange peel texture. factory paint jobs are far from perfect, but with a lot of sanding and polishing they can become perfect.

@jenacbxx The area that was polished will shine more and water will bead with the sealant applied.

Im not at all impressed with this guy's technique. It sure doesnt look like he's been doing this for 30 years. Theres still going to be sanding marks visible in the paint, along with the original scratches.

good job, just a question, isn't any difference between the treaded part with polish and the rest? isnt more shining? and if u had to do on an old car, with old paint?
