Fire in Babylon is the film that everyone in cricket is talking about and prior to the European premiere in London, we caught up with former West Indian opening batsman Gordon Greenidge.
He talks about the film and his own memories of playing at a time when the West Indies dominated the game.

@theivd I beg to differ... the current generation does not have the BASICS down. The basics is 90% inside of them: character, integrity, discipline, focus, empathy, servant heart, national pride, team spirit... I know, judge not, but if you were to mention this to them you would get a blank look.

How much wisdom in this? Allow players to be themselves, don't get too bogged down in aything else, allow natural ability to express to its full capacity, and let what happens happen! I emplyed this same philosophy in my indoor cricket teams and we won 5 seasons straight. Actually the only thing I told my players to do was listen to reggae music!
