The parents are in a hateful union and the mother takes her anger out on the kids. The actions of the mom are reflected in the children's behavior when they're role playing as the baby and the mom.in the beginning. This is also the reason the girl curses a lot and the baby seems traumatized. Moral of the story : if you're not cut out to be a parent, pleassseeee don't have children! ! Aha ohh Stevie you're awesome :)
