Yeah I got confused there too, compassion leads to the darkside as most jedi's believed. Which then your current self becomes no more and gets taken control of an alter ego even if thinking of things from your past imo.

A really weird thing to me is i really enjoyed this scene?! Because 1.) i finally got to see good finally getting crushed by evil for once in a movie. 2.) i was always sick of seeing movies were good is the most powerful and good always wins, in this evil finally got the spotlight.
