This is from dutch TV "Vrije Geluiden". I recorded, unfortunately in bad quality, but because I think that there's no better interpretation from Bartok's Romanian folk music, there was nothing left to do then to upload it... The worst part is that I can't remember who the players are, only that they are Romanians.

  • Loved his interpretation of the second dance. Chills!

  • Loved all of the dances except for IV. I guess, I must just interpret it differently when I play it, because I would have preferred it to be more melancholy.

  • this song is not for women interpretation

  • Pianist is Paul Schafer.

  • thi is repin

  • This piece is really pretty. It gives me the motivation to acually take time to learn the violin since I love this type of music so much (I've only really played cello). Thanks for posting this, the interpretation is really wonderful.

  • Romanian Folk Dances

    I. Stick game (Joc Cu Bata)

    II. Peasant costume (Braul)

    III.Standing still (Pe loc)

IV. Song of the mountain horn (Buciumeana)

    V. A garden gate in Romania (V Poarca Romaneasca)

    VI. Little one (Maruntel)

This piece had a transcription to piano and I've played it before. This is contemporary music people, get it through your heads.

  • that's vadim repin and hi is not romanian

  • looks like young Repin great

  • bravissimo!
