Running my blitz at A main hobbies

H A P P Y D A Y S I have personally sold four of these to friends. This SC truck is amazing. I think a gent at A Main told me "you can make any SC truck good". Which I believe to be true. It's just how your going to get there. Moreover, how much it's going to cost to get there. I believe the SC 10, Losi, and Kyosho to be a better truck on tight clay tracks for pro drivers with alot of money. The A Main track favors these vehicles to skilled drivers. Nevertheless, dollar for dollar the Blitz has them beat. This is the best basher/racer available today. It will rail any slash all day long. It is more durable (I have owned 5 slashes). Can you say metal drive train sealed diff? Check, check. So why not finish a race and not DNF in another truck? Buy a blitz an be happy! On a side note: avoid the blitz ese the frames and plastics are too fragile. Now for the over-steering novices that are crashing into this and that or for 1/8 track driving stability the blitz is a "superior" (shout out to super Dave's rivalry) SC truck. Hands down the most durable truck. If you are a beginner, buy this truck. I would argue this truck for Intermediate drivers. A little setup can really plant this truck. Ruben at A main mentioned "hooked up" (shout out to Ruben at A Main - his words when I smoked the novice class 4/4 with this truck last week ;) Reliability: After owning and witnessing many SC trucks in action I have to say the Blitz is the most durable truck in stock trim hands down. Performance: My truck is on rails. I have it setup for A Main's track which is mostly crazy tacky high bite clay - godly terrain. Yea we are spoiled rotten in Chico. Motor/ESC: Stock electronics are top for a $12 motor. Seriously buy brushless and lipos. However, for beginners, I have seen this truck haul some butt and do well on a tight track using 2s lipos (with a lipo cut-off of course). Upgrade your servo first. Then get a motor. Castle 5700 Epic 9.5/10.5 any decent brushless motor. All the motor listed will make this thing haul serious butt. Way too fast for Novices, but if your a MAN like me! You can never have enough power! Which ESC? one word - T E K I N. Don't be cheap. Do it right. The RS model will do nicely. You will be able to tone down all that power with the Tekin because you will be all over the place if you don't lol. Setup: Easy to change things and work on car aside from steering rack lol. I am using the Thad Garner setup (which is mostly stock setup) 40wt in front 2 hole piston and 35 wt rear 2 hole piston SC 10 Gold springs front and rear. Swap the supplied front In-line steering bearing carriers. 30K in diff because it does leak :( Gold barcodes for A Main's track. Servo: Lock the servo saver down 1st thing. Then go buy yourself a new servo lol ;) Your going to have to upgrade any rtr servo nubs. Plus the steering radius isn't he best on a blitz. A servo is a huge upgrade. Tires: upgrade for your tracks liking of course (tires are 90% of your handling). Stock tires are amazing for bashing on/off road. They never wear down... ever... well as far as any other RC tire I have ran lol. Shout out to Kendell for a sick track/facility and mostly employees at A Main. Thank you! PS. B U Y T H I S T R U C K Thank me later - SteveO

  • I agree sadly. I helped build this one too. Not my layout, but shoveled my ass off! We need a big supercross style jump. The new layout's jumps are for homo buggy guys not supercrossing sc trucks!

  • I bought the losi xxx-sct and wasn't happy for a while, but since have it dialed in. The losi feels in between the blitz and the sc 10 as far as handling. The durability (after a few mods) is comparable to a blitz. I am not saying it is as durable as a blitz because it's not. I assure you it's more durable than an sc 10 or slash out of the box given wear and tear over time + general durability. I do miss my blitz, but very happy with my Losi and think it's a bit better for racing.

  • Just bought the Losi!!! But you can't beat the RTR blitz durability.

  • lol Bob! I changed the music for you.

  • Ps I am the orange/white/black (ktm colors) truck and running #54 in memory of my good friend WORCS champ Nathan Woods.
