Special Tribute to Toni Basil performed by Fanny Pak
HIp Hop international is proud of annouce its 2009 recipient of the Living Legend of Hip Hop Award - choreographer, performer, producer and director Toni Basil. As an original founding member of the street dance crew "The Lockers", Toni's relentless energy and drive forced the entertainment world and the American public to take notice of "The Lockers" -- opening door for mass exposure through TV appearances and touring thereby putting locking on the map.
Toni has been recognized for her enormously popular recording "Mickey" and for choreographing music videos, live performances and tours for icons such as David Bowie, Tina Turner, and Bette Midler. Toni Basil is the first woman to recieve the Hip Hop International Living Legends of Hip Hop Award.
