If it didn't happen 3 months ago or won't happen 3 months from now most people and their elected leaders don't think about it.
Americans & their elected leaders don't want to make sacrifices or call for sacrifices. Remember what they do to the bearers of bad news? Based upon what happened in the US we won't know about global peak oil until after it has happened. Oil peaked in the US in 1970 but it did not become painfully evident until the Arab oil embargo in 1973.

The "exponential growth" myth is at the nucleus of our problems me thinks. When a corporation publishes a decline in profit (not loss, mind You) everybody panics.....still attached to that weird mirage that growing will go on indefinately. That commuting for 1,5 hours by gas-guzzling car is "normal" because You can earn "more, more and forever more" What's wrong with halting for a period, to consider other options?

Same comment on the editing. Just simple cuts from one interview to the next would be nice. Trimming it down to about 3 minutes would be nice as well.
