- Actually I knew this a majoe feud. I was actually making a general statement/ MSG was the MECCA for the WWF at the time and on this card id definitley didn't hurt to have this 2nd title match to showcase this feud as well

Well, thank God Hulkamania was born on this night, because with the lackluster performance Santana turned in this match, if I was the promoter I wouldn't let him win the Championship on the same night Hogan is winning the World title. Look at the way he performed out there. Definitely not one of Tito's best performances.

Santana is not doing the things necessary to keep this side headlock sequence interesting. If a guy like Dibiase was in there, he would tell the guy to roll him on to his shoulder to get a couple of two counts on him. Santana is just grinding away with this side headlock. That's not enough. He's not doing the things that's necessary keep a side headlock sequence interesting in wrestling, so that people don't grow bored when they watch this.

Santana is a very good wrestler. Hes a legend but sometimes he didn't always know how to pace his matches. Sometimes he would go overboard with the side headlocks and the armbars when in reality he should have been speeding up the tempo of the match. As great a wrestler as Tito was, sometimes the way he would pace his matches, build up his comebacks and string together his moves was a little off. His psychology wasn't always on point.

Yeah, that's what I never liked about Tito. Santana could be a very conservative wrestler at times in the ring. Sometimes it could take Santana a very long time to get into the match either because he was too conservative or too cautious. Santana had speed and agility, and he would use it, but sometimes it could take him a long time to get the adrenaline flowing and get bent out shape before he started to unload. Thankfully he changed his style when he started working w/ Martel

Yes, well, this was a major feud at the time. Muraco and Santana had that fiya, so they could get away with booking a second title major on the important card in the history of pro wrestling.
