WWII Short documentary: The Japanese Invasion of Malaya

The Japanese Invasion of Malaya began just after midnight on 8 December 1941 before the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The Japanese plan for the invasion involved landing troops on the east coasts of Thailand and Malaya. The forces in Thailand were to push through to the west coast and invade Malaya from its northern province of Kedah, whilst their eastern forces from Vietnam would attack down the east coast and into the interior of Malaya from Kota Bharu.

The Japanese attack force for the invasion of Malaya, Lieutenant General Tomoyuki Yamashita's 25th Army, had sailed from Samah Harbour on Hainan Island on 4 December 1941.

Japanese troops launched an amphibious assault on the northern coast of Malaya at Kota Bharu and started advancing down the eastern coast of Malaya. This was made in conjunction with landings at Pattani and Songkhla in Thailand, where they then proceeded south overland across the Thailand-Malayan border to attack the western portion of Malaya.

The Japanese had already coerced the Thai government into letting them use Thai military bases to launch attacks into Malaya.

Across the Strait of Malacca to the west lies the island of Sumatra. East Malaysia (on the island of Borneo) is to the east across the South China Sea."

Japan, wasn't invaded. They surrendered. In fact, they wanted to surrender much earlier during the war. The allies refused to let them surrender.

The first attack was at Koda Bahru. This attack was 90 minutes before the Pearl Harbor attack. Roosevelt had promised Churchill that we would side with them if they were attacked (first). Basically, we were already at war, though undeclared, prior to the Pearl attack. Because of the IDL, the actual date of the attack was already the 8th of December, giving the impression that it occurred after the Pearl attack. It takes 48hr for any day to clear the time zones. At Pearl, it was still 7 Dec.

at WWII's end, Thai soldiers annexed Malaya, cambodia,but was forced to give back those lands to England and France, it was unfair for Thai. No murder nor rape between Thai and Japan, my thai parents especially on mother side never talked about japan crime. England just protected its colonial benefit in Burma India. Defeated party is blamed for crimes, while the winning party doing the same crimes is praised. US soldiers raped iraq, too.

Actually, if you read the Japanese accounts, the Japanese military refused to allow any surrender. Even after both Atom bombs were used, the military was willing to fight to the death. The Emperor eventually had to intervene. The actual accounts read something like a James Bond novel.

The Nanking Massacre was created by Chinese government for asking help China to the U.S.

These days Chinese government has used the fake of Nanking story for hiding their human rights problem from civilians.

I hope China will be a freedom country, and it will stop accusing Japan because what China accuses is not make sense. China created the massacre, and they pinned thier crimes on Japanese soldiers.
