@go0dish I don't think you understand the point. At the time, Simon was 9-10 years old and because he had a Batman sweater, he wanted to be Batman, which is perfectly normal. He was joking around when he took the key away from Aunt Julie, and she-because at the time, was an alcoholic-overreacted and held him by the neck in order to get the key from him. And Annie was doing what any other mother would do in that situation, which is to protect her son from the woman who is hurting him.
