Warming up on the set of my upcoming DVD "All About The Groove"
Yes, I'm now endorsing and loving Dream cymbals but this was shot almost two years ago at the new (then)
DW soundstage facility. It's really going to be a great package and should be out in the next few months.
We are now finalizing all editing.... I'm excited.
Killer sound, Killer camera work and lighting and a Killer rhythm section...
stay tuned and enjoy....

  • what snare is that> Sounds wonderful

  • This particular snare drum is a 14" X 7" Cocobolo.......It is Killer, as is this entire kit, made especially for my "All About The Groove" DVD. It's one of my favs of all my DWs. Even though I still really like my early 80s Blue Stain Lac and my oldest kit that belonged to John Guerin at one time.

    Keeping It Funky,

    Rick

  • They shouldn't put a camera down where the bass pedal was

  • @slappy94 There is one on the foot on the DVD. I think you'll dig it....

  • It's true somedrumguy! Anyone that knows me knows I don't use a double pedal.

Chech out my "All about the groove" DVD trailer and other you tube vids. Single all the way.

    Rock on?

    Rick

  • If I could play that good I would die a happy man. Just an average warm-up for Mr. Latham...

  • Kit sounds great

  • Double Pedal in my eyes is for lazy people! Oh and by the way this video...incredible!

  • Rick, I love your set up with the small tom...I am changing my kit to reflect this set up.How do you not hit your left thigh with your hand playing traditional grip. I am tall as well and my leg always hits my left hand, does not matter how I adjust my seat either....thanks...

  • Does your right arm not start to ache if you play a lot of bell on the ride, with your cymbal that high?

  • really like those bass drum/tom fills, is he just playing RLF RLF? or something more fancy?

  • so smooth

  • What a way to get the funk juices flowing :)

  • all that with a strait face...

  • i'm diggin it!
