This should be looked at in Japan Rail HQ remix #9. It is higher quality.
Part 1 of the journey on Okhotsk No Kaze; The Sea Ice Express. There are four clips covering the trip which takes just over 5 hours through some of the most scenic countryside in Hokkaido, northern Japan.

  • I am curious to know why drivers point forward and say something every time you approach a station.

    Why they do it?

    thanks.

  • @botijo They must acknowledge all signals by pointing and verbally. They also call out the stopping condition when approaching a station. They are the rules on JR.

  • - 0:15 before Nohoro //- 0:46 Takasago /- (Ebetsu) -/ 1:48 Toyohoro //- 1:53 Horomui //- 2:42 before Iwamizawa //- 3:12 Minenobu -// 4:36 after Bibai - 6:34 Chashinai -/-(Sunagawa)-/ 7:07 Takikawa //-

  • That's great because I have no idea. I would have like to video the entire trip but it is too long for the batteries in the camera.
