@efryll1 that is so right! in reel life and in real life, they are meant to be. if they ever had a movie together, with them ending up together so beautifully and gracefully like all harry/hermione fans want, it would be my favorite movie of all time and i'd watch it everyday!

The only reason that Hermione ended up with Ron was because JK was too afraid to give one of the Trio an unhappy ending. Hermione would have been happy as hell with Harry, but Ron would have been left out in the cold. It would have been more poignant and a much bolder writing decision if Ron had been left in the cold. Would have served as a re-do of the James/Lily/Snape triangle, showing that history repeats itself. The Potter men always get the girl!

Agreed. The Films seemed to have been drawing out a Harry and Hermione relationship. It was sad to see that this was not the case. Ron and Hermione may have worked out better in the book (I don't know have not read them.) but as far as the films go it did not work. If there ever was going to be a "Twist" or something that the fans did not see coming it should of been Harry and Hermione getting together. This is the only bad part about the film series and probably the books.
