@giuliocc that makes you wonder. Why didnt your old instructor tell how and when to apply the forms from Chum Kiu ? WT is all about sharing the techniques. Besides, after your 12th graduation you start to develop your own technique :D

That is the first time I have really been able to view the applications of Chum Kiu. The applications of the form are really great. I only know Si Lum Tao and realise how it doesn't deal well with grappling. My old instructors, who know Chum Kiu and Biu Tze gave no clue as to the applications these more advanced forms.. Thanks for sharing.

I wish Sifu Yannis would be the worst wingchun-teacher on earth - that would be a level of unuseful-wingchun i can live with. Unfortunately he even more one of the best - i bet he touched LeungTing, Kernspecht, Boztepe a.s.o. whilst learning it - which is a shame for all those `grant-masters´ from the YipMan-Lineage (those, who claimed to achieved it all by merely meeting Master Yip).

I would send any willing pupils to Sifu Yannis - he seems to do it right!
