the second 'power' chord your playing doesn't sound right at all,

its a D major, it would be easier to play it open than play it the way your playing it,

and the little lick at the end of the intro doesn't sound right,

either your not playing it properly or its just wrong

plus it would help if you knew, and said what the chords was.

i can imagine a lot of beginners,

which this video looks like it made for,

would be very confused
