i listen to "We Used to Know" from Stand Up (J.T. 1969)... and i finally realize that, even though Don Felder and Joe Walsh really sparkled on those tasty leads, the song is pure Glenn Cornick. If the Eagles won't say it, let me: "Thanks, Glenn!" That is a beautiful chord progression and song structure. A funny coincidence: when i play my "simplified" (i.e., best i can do) version of Hotel California, i sound a LOT like Glen on "We Used to Know".
@corm1000 Hate to burst your bubble but; I saw Wild Turkey in 1971 after Glenn Cornick the bassist left Jetro Tull & formed Wild Turkey. There's no way anything was taken from Pearl Jam; now for the record I do love Pearl Jam but, I think in 1971 Eddie Vedder (was born December 23, 1964) Vedder was 6 or 7 years old! I saw Tull concerts way back then & still love them!
cool song, however that opening lick sounds like the one from pearl jam's even flow. They probally thought that know one would know because Wild turky are so obscure.
Cerain Jetro Tull influence here... Saw them somewhere near Norwich UK... Inspirational stuff at the time...

One of my first albums ever, recommended by a friend. Crazy that it's on utube.

@77nightingale I meant that pearl jam may have taken the riff from wild turky. I should have made that a little more clear.
