Tapesh teams up with studio partner Maximilijan for this latest release on ALiVE bringing their new-school house vibes with a blend of deep and tech Best know for his work on Defected, Cr2 and Rebirth, German scenester sounds rooted in equal measures of experimentation and dance-floor cool.

Lead track Play, pitched in the middle ground between soulful house and techier grooves employs the combination of floor-friendly bass wiggle, swaying beats and female vocal loop to craft a very useable option for DJs across the house spectrum. Daniel Dubb (8Bit, Supernature) provides the alternative version adding in jazzed up stabs and rolling percussive loops.

Madiba sees Tapesh & Maximilijan work up an afro-house influenced cut that uses subtle flute tones and harmonic chants to create a deep but uplifting groove. ALiVE boss Tom Budden rubs up the remix adding in his own touches to beef up the groove and in the process lift the original from low-slung roller into a shimmering pumped up fusion of soulful tech house.
