I always interpreted the "cross" as symbolizing the center of the universe, where all flows thru eventually no matter where it is now. Spiritually, I suppose it can mean one can arrive at ones center thru ones dedicated and focused will or one can be dragged there kicking and screaming and possibly be "devoured" by ones own limitations.

thats true but also consider that your point of view creates your individuality and manifests what is known as the self.. i.e. "I". The other half of you is interconnected as a general collection of the human race giving birth to the general make up of our earth. which then makes up part of our solar system...(scalar jumping) so there is a point of vision, that is what makes us unique... but our collective is what makes our infinity. If we judge and war, we become a cancer on this earth body.
