I saw Adem open for Badly Drawn Boy at the GAMH in SF. It was without a doubt the worst performance that I have ever seen live. He was SO pompus, his songs were absolute crap, and he had signs up everywhere saying that the crowd needed to be quiet during his performance. Great choice by BDB, no other human on earth could have been a better choice to follow! Everyone I was with booed him off the stage...he really really stank up the joint

Thats odd. I saw him open for BDB for the One Plus One album and was totally transfixed. I had no idea who he was and was happy to sit quietly and listen. Honestly I had no choice, it was that good. He opened with Let It Burn and I was hooked. If you don't like his personality fine, but he is an awesome songwriter.
