In Creative Unity did a great job restoring this mural. This demonstrates great anti-grafitti protection and grafitti removal techniques. A few months after the restoration of the mural, it was tagged. City grafitti removal workers, under the direction of Stash Maleski of In Creative Unity , were able to remove the grafitti with high pressure water sprays easily because the surface had been treated with wax. The video was recorded and directed by Suzanne Thompson and edited by me.

  • Good job! Be sure to recoat with the wax or varnish after you clean the graffiti off so it will be protected for the next time.

I am involved with The Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles to get graffiti off of the downtown LA freeway murals. We are about to clean Kent Twitchell's Jim Morphesis Monument. Perhaps you would be interested in seeing a couple of videos I've made on varnishing murals? Go to my YouTube channel at "bestartdoc"

    All my best wishes.
