Stalin was a failure as a leader if he had more time he would have completly crippled the red army giving the Germans complete control over russia and leaving them to fight a single front war
Stalin was the man who Roosevelt admired so much.Churchil tried time and again to open Roosvelts eyes but he was impervious to any critic regarding Stalin.I just wonder how Roosevelt could be so naive.Didn't he see the ugly face of communism? If Churchill had succeded with his policy there wouldn't be a iron curtain in the middle of Euro. All what Roosevelt had in mind was his UN and for that Stalins consent was needed.Stalin in turn got his carte blanche for that and Ch.alone couldn't prevent it
my both great-grandfathers were brought in CC in russia, just because they were Germans, living in russia. They had to leave their families, their wifes and children, and survived the camp; my maternal great-grandfather 13 years and my paternal greatgrandfather 6 (or 7) years (I'M not so sure)
@PaniacThrilla they claim that he is responsible for 40mio deaths. the entire population of the union was 140mio by the time stalin had come in charge. then the amount of people in the union was rising steadily. no signs of any mass murder. pediwikia "Demography of the Soviet Union" go figure.all i see hire are a couple of pictures with skinny people and one with burned corpse with no context and some dude with a nifty us american accent blaming all evil in this world on stalin.
@77616e6b79 Maybe you should provide facts rather than name calling? Your name calling just further exposes Communists as intellectually inferior. How's that list of prosperous Communist nations coming?
