It is painful to see so much abuse and so much disrespect for our Lord's body and blood. No one kneels to properly receive the Lord. I just can't wait when this abuse will end, when NOM & abuses it promotes will end....
All those women lay ministers distributing wine (Communion) to parishoners. Is this necessary? The number of people in the church does not seem to warrant this. These womenh are just playing priest. What is worse, they are not wearing any sort of liturgical garb, just pedestrian street clothes. This looks like a Protestant hybrid Mass. Very sad. Would you see this in an Orthodox church? Not on your life! Obviously the Catholic Church has fallen into some sort of apostasy. Very, very sad.
Thave it remain here was NO Pope who was Ever in Favor of Communion in the hand...Research..It started with Disobedient bishops from Belgium I believe without the knowledge of Pope Paul VI.When he learned this, he called all bishops to Rome where they all voted to keep it ON THE TONGUE! Same thing with liberal bishops with Lay distributors and girls prancing around the altar, where vocations to the priesthood were often the beginning for MALE servers! Attend the Latin Mass near you !
In the GIRM specifically for the United States, the USCCB has written in that the ordinary method of receiving Holy Communion is via standing but that it is perfectly acceptable to kneel if one desires. The Holy Father has stated that he prefers kneeling but has also acknowledged that this is not Canon Law or a Papal Bull but merely his preference and that the Bishops are free to do as they like regarding this. The Eastern Church all stand from my understanding both Orthodox and Catholic.
Let them all go to hell for not receiving the communion the way we think! How's that? Go to hell for not kneeling. But go to heaven for kneeling. I think that's fair enough. How's that?
Also faith does not come from the Magisterium only. It comes also from lived human experience, literary discourse and tradition. That accounts why my opinion differs from yours. So please all of you stop trying to play ball in the big league - when its so obvious you belong with the amateurs in the little league!!
Ok enough is enough Please stop replying to me as you are not going to change where I stand. I have a Masters Degree in Theology - your theories have such obvious flaws its comical. The Papacy is in communion with Dioceses not in control of them - Bishops have autonomy when it comes to certain decisions and the right to use the Paul VI Mass exclusively is still one of them and there is no intent to change that!!
I have some bad news for you Pynosarus...The tides are turning in the Church, and soon and very soon my friend, I believe that there will be a major Vatican crackdown on liberalism in the Church, AKA Modernism. The Papacy has powers that it hasn't used in years, and it may be time for those powers to be used again. The Pope can easily take complete control of a dioces that is running rampant with heresies.
Lay people have NO business handing out communion. This is Protestant!

It is not necessary to have all those lay women EMHO.
This is abuse. The number of people in the church does
not warrant this. EMHO should be abolished anyway. It is
a Protestant concoction, very evangelical looking, not
part of Catholic tradition. Very disturbing. I would NEVER
receive from a EMHO. Never.

It is LOGICAL to me that the BODY & BLOOD of Christ should have better respect. Period.
