  • Can't decide which bass I should save up for! Have been checking into Fleabass, the G&L L2000 Tribute, or a Stingray with Dual Humbucking. Anyone know which is best for not just slapping but just bass in general?

  • @rockisalifestyle2 You can slap on any bass...fingerstyle on any bass... The Fleabass is not even close to the same level of instrument as the Music Man or G& L...

  • @theperfectbass But the Fleabass is alot cheaper, and the company is named after one of my bass idols so i figured i would consider it. But as for the slapping and fingerstyle I didn't know which ones had better tones, like currently I have an Epiphone EB-0 and have been borrowing a Rickenbacker from my uncle and the sounds are completely different and the slap bass on the Epiphone just sounds... strange.

  • @rockisalifestyle2 Yeah, an EBO is really not made for slap style... Most modern designs are good for just about any style of play. I would not say that the Ric is known for being a "good" bass for slap either. You will get a lot more versatility out of the Music Man than either of those for sure! Fleabass is really a beginner bass..., but if you are looking for something in that price range, you may consider Sterling by Music Man. They have several models that are less than the USA version

  • How much is this bass costs? I bet it's around $2000

  • @metalballs2010 The 4 string classics are in the $1,800 range... Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, but around that price... Think about the same bass from another American guitar manufacturer... I'd bet it'd be a "custom" piece and start at about $3,000! We believe that Music Man is making some of the best quality and most consistent guitars and basses made in the USA and in their price range!

  • That's some awkward slapping, may I say so.

  • Could do with more dynamics. It's slapping and popping, man. Not petting and tugging.

  • @theperfectbass great rebuttal!!

  • beautiful bass

  • is there any damn sting ray video without slapping???

  • if i had that bass i would tear that thing apart with the slappin and the popin, but i dont :(

  • I hate to be a nitpick, but that slapping technique really is pretty awkward.

  • Slap it like a man!
