  • I was looking at Porcupine Tree's "Similar Artists" tab for some new music to try out and I came across this. I'm immensely glad it was there.

  • @willregnier: Koi is another band; Riverside is a definite touchstone, perhaps indirectly through Porcupine Tree and Anathema. It is even more mellow than the early Riverside - prog-rock to the bone, though with a few metal riffs in there, as Koi used to play metal but wanted to do something more original.

Good, of course, but not nearly as EPIC as this album...

  • @willregnier if you like tool and PT then you will love this band have fun listening to their albums im convident you will. Second life syndrome is a great album if you haven't got it take care

  • @KoiChannel Who's Koi? The guitarist? Thanks! Will.

  • @EternalTeaPot Yes, I'd say a mix of Porcupine Tree / Dream Theater / Tool. I'm a big fan of PT it's my favorite band. I'm getting into Riverside and it's becoming one of my fav band.

  • perfect as the whole band

  • Riverside deserve alot more fame then they have, just brilliant. They remind me of porcupine tree mixed with tool what a combo brilliant song brilliant album brilliant band

  • Riverside is such a great band, too bad not many people have heard of it. I'm pretty sure any prog metal fan would fall in love with this band inmediatly.
