talbot solara minx, 1985 322,000miles took me around europe for 2 months, never missed a beat, now bmw 540 v8, 11,000 miles, engine blew up, scrap. give me my old talbot back!

Hahaha ... they don't look nice but they have a lot of nice stuff for there age , plus they could carry a lot... I used Solara more then 5 years to carry 1.7 to 2 tone on the trayler. Say what you whant that baby sure holds toghether.

I drive an Alpine 1.3LS most days, she is a 1981 model, on the log book it records the colour as "beige". Had her for 2 years and driven 10k with no faults.

I had the Alpine which I later repainted white by hand ! Gears were miles apart ! What a great car !

Chrysler put VW engines in the U.S. Horizons. The tappy Simca engine was not fit for US motorways.
