  • That bald guy is real annoying. Its so lame to be at SXSW with your little Film blog scouting out the cool newestnewestnewest movies.

UGLY AMERICAN= to think you are a Hollywood insider with your Press Pass at an industry event because you write some ignorable blog about pointless cinema bullshit.... These are the sorts of people perpetuating our culture of garbage.

GET A LIFE... and enjoy that Scion gift bag they are handing out this year with all your heart!

  • Sacha Baron Cohen is the Andy Kaufman of this age. The comedy is not only in the idiocy of the characters he portrays but more in the audience reaction and inside joke that Andy also did. Very commited to the characters he plays and that's what makes his comedy work very well. His improv and method acting ability to stay in character off camera is priceless. Not even the best Hollywood actors can keep the high level of commitment.

  • Great critique by Scott Weinburg.

  • He wasn't in Oklahoma in the cage scene. He was in Arkansas.

  • Scott Weinberg was spot on.

  • neither of those responses were critical

  • Yep, pretty much agree with your there.

I think most anti-USA media have their own nationalist agenda, so directing negative reports towards Americans fulfills their purpose somewhat. It's the same with a lot of media in the US, too.

Still think that the southern states have a pretty primitive mindset, though. I don't live there, so I don't know why exactly they haven't progressed along with the rest of North America (that's a general statement, though. Not all people in the north are good.)

  • this title is misleading

  • cole's absolutely right... couldn't have said it better

  • Smart man!!
