A BMW motorcycle is situated in a parking lot. Suddenly it lunges forward with no one in sight! This is real. What really happened was that the owner failed to PROPERLY put his kick stand up. LOL!

Those damn mirrors are expensive.
Been there, done that, felt stupid.

And I mean: use the kill switch, and don't park it on the center stand. A bike won't roll if the engine is off and the transmission is in gear. It only rolls in neutral. Never use a center stand on an incline. Always kill the engine while the bike is in gear, and use the side stand. Center stand is for nice even ground only.
And yes; some bikes do have park brakes. Some even have reverse. Mine doesn't so I just do as I said: kill the engine in gear and use the side stand.

Or just kill the engine while it's in gear when you park it on a hill. That way it can't roll.
