@1GodOnlyOne Please educate yourself. Also, look up unsubstantiated in the dictionary while you're at it. I was referring to your claims with no substance. Please check out the RAINN website for rape definitions. You have stated that your culture/society protects women from date rape, which one is that? Unfortunately people are free to make their own choices in my country and the best way to keep them safe is to educate them. Victims are not to blame. Your name seems Godly, your words however...

I support traditional societies' protection of young women -- obviously, you do not. You'd rather have them unprotected and raped, and that is your prerogative.

@1GodOnlyOne Traditional societies may not have "dating" as you say but dating is not a requirement for date rape or any rape for that matter. When a rapist wants to rape, he will find a way. It doesn't matter if you're young, old, woman, man, married or not. Contrary to what your personal beliefs may be, rape is a worldwide epidemic. This video shows one scenario of thousands. As far as Western "society" not being a society, what is it then? I won't comment on your unsubstantiated claims.

Traditional societies don't have "dating," so they don't have "date rape."
Young people are introduced by the parents, and they are watched very closely so that this type of thing doesn't happen. Young women are not subjected to being alone with young men until they are married, in traditional cultures, specifically to prevent this type of crime.
Date rape is a direct result of Western "society's" glaring lack of culture. European and American parents basically abandon their daughters.

@lulllzy01 Most of the time rape is just a way a person can control someone and feel dominant. A woman doesn't have to be gorgeous or wear slutty clothes or even get a person's attention. Sometimes she's just in the wrong place at the wrong time. And if someone thinks that rape is a form of attention and makes a woman feel special, then they don't need to go to jail. They need to go into a meat grinder and burn in hell.
