Made for schoolchildren, Mischa Mischakoff demonstrates the violin and at the same time shows why he was one of the greatest of them all.
The recording was made with the microphone close to the violin so you can really hear how cleanly and beautifully he played
MIschakoff was concertmaster in Philadelphia, Chicago and Detroit. Most famously, he was the concertmaster of the NBC Symphony, heading a section that contained Joseph Gingold and Oscar Shumsky, among many other legends.

I remember this recording as a child. My mother and myself were both students of Mischakoff. He ifluences me to this day.
