Part 2 of 2 of my Driveway Series" of "how to" repair vids. This is my old Chevy Van with a small block GM 350. We tear down the starter and replace the "starter drive" and then get into the solenoid. Leave comments or maybe click on ads to buy parts. Working on our own stuff is rapidly becoming a lost art. These vids are meant to rectify that.
Nowadays it's $200 to $400. to have a shop do this. I did it for $14.99.
Where do you go to find parts for starter motors?

@spelunkerd Through the years I rarely needed parts as I had many laying around to scrounge from but that was then. I googled the "Quick Start" Rebuild Kit mentioned in my vid and came up with nothing on that. Some cities might have a Starter Rebuilding Company. Otherwise the more specialized Auto Parts like Napa who serve local auto shops would be your best bet. Otherwise, try online. There has to be something out there ... I hope.
