  • I lost 108 pounds walking, walking up and down many many hills and walking fast and often. Each person needs to do what works for their body and what they will tend to do daily. If swallowing unrealistic dogma from ex-marines worked for all, we wouldnt have any obesity.

  • walking instead of car for short distance shopping, climbing stairs instead of elevators, doing house work not using new tech. works as well to stay in shape. To lose just cut a little of high unhealthy calories!

  • basketball eh? thats great ive gone through 32 week royal marine training, on top of already being very physically capable and i know from experience, not just personal but seeing other people aswell, and i mean people who are trying to lose weight, that it really is as simple as, run and dont eat crap. simple as that.

  • Listen pal, I play basketball at a college level, I am in better shape than you can ever dream of. I am also a Kinesiology major and working on my personal trainer license. The reality is running does not work for everyone. At the end of the day all weight loss has to is the amount of calories burned vs taken in. Riding a stationary bike for 30 minutes then lifting weights for 30 minutes would do you a lot more good from a weight loss perspective than jogging for an hour as well.

  • i do know how it works, youre just grabbing on to any way out of not having to run, running is the key for gods sake you need some will power dont be a fool walking alone will NEVER get fit

  • You dont know what your talking about. You lose weight by having a calorie deficit. If i eat 2000 calories and burn 2500 I am losing weight, regardless of how I burned them....
