In the USA people call it St Augustine, but in Australia it is called Buffalo grass. Floartam is a St Augustine, but it is a very ugly broad leaf form compared to the types we have in Australia.

this buffalo grass you speak of looks alot like a strain of st.augustine called floratam.it grows mainly in the southern u.s from florida to texas.are they related?
