...that exposes the "soulishness" of man. Restatement of the questions...what to base morality on...
1. SUBJECTIVE, INNATE IMPULSES OR 2. AN OBJECTIVE VIEW OF THE WORLD WHICH MAKES YOU AND I MERE MATERIAL "THINGS"
WHICH SHOULD WE CHOOSE? WHY? AND HOW DOES THAT RELATE TO FREE WILL?

  • I chose neither, and that has made all the difference.

This is the subjective, objective false dichotomy again, with red herrings for choices.

  • @oben12b This was not meant to be a comparison of ALL possible bases of morality as some are erroneously assuming. It was merely meant to show that we can choose to do something (we have freedom of will) apart from that which is innate...we can concoct a basis for morality apart from that which is innate...we are more than matter and we are made in the image of God. This is a great indicator of that.

  • @FillTheirVoid What goes on in north Korea is perfectly akin to religious indoctrination. The ruler in power is the supreme entity. The masses know nothing else.

  • @FillTheirVoid If you were to ask a North Korean civilian what evolution meant, they would be as ignorant as you.

  • If you're trying to address atheists, please stop quoting a book that has no factual evidence, a book based off allegories and anecdotal testaments, a book written in a time when science wasn't there to provide actual answers, and mostly a book that doesn't contradict itself morally and logically numerous times.

This guy has forensic skills of a brick. He has so many gaps in the logical processes he presents.

  • How many times must you be told that evolution is not an atheist belief as more than 2 of 3 Christians accept evolution and believe in god including Popes Benedict XVI, John Paul II & Pius XII.

In 2007 the Church of England apologized publicly to Darwin, you know where the King James bible originated.

Do your proselytizing on clips where televangelists are being fleecing people of their hard earned cash while the televangelists live like kings fling in private jets, living the high life.

  • @Zaunstar And I have already stated...this video was not about the behavior of atheists. I am not sure why you keep going back to that. If you think we have no free will, you will have to change your answer to something along the lines of morality being innate.

  • @theist77 I'll leave that one for the philosophers, but I suspect we do not have free will. I have no evidence that something lives "outside" of me, any more than it would live outside of any other living thing.

I have entertained your questions, so for the third time, I would like to understand if you have actually done any pondering or asking any atheists you know PERSONALLY about what they think about your atheists using humans as firewood idea. No more answers from me until then.

  • @Zaunstar But...you cannot account for any sort of free will YET you seem to think that there is free will...mind over matter - spirit over body. You make that obvious in your answer. There is more to you than matter and that is why the Christian can live a "supernatural life". Where will your spirit go when your body dies?

  • @theist77 I have made videos about that sort of thing before, and I think I already gave you a decent answer, but I have a better idea. You would be able to in large part answer your own question, if you could just wrap your head around why atheists don't use theists for firewood. Why do you think that is?

  • @Zaunstar If you believe that all we are is material - chemical reactions and electrical impulses...then we have no free will. Therefore, EVERYTHING that you do is innate. You just reflex all day long. So, therefore, anything that a person would call moral would inherently be innate. The question...should we choose our instincts or should we base our morality on a materialist world view and why? How does that relate to free will? It is a trick to the materialist but shows our spirit nature

  • @theist77 I do not believe morality to be innate. That does not mean that think there is no such thing as morals at all. My morality is based on what works for humanity. Yes, sometimes humans conflict and we need to figure out what will work best in a given situation.

OK, so I answered your question. Now again, please tell me why you cannot understand why atheists would not advocate chopping people up and using them for firewood. This is utter nonsense.
