I have heard others suggest the following:

    To Police:

    Am I free to go?

If No - Am I being detained?

If Yes - Am I under arrest?

If No - Am I free to go?

If No - When will I see a judge?

To Judge: Do YOU have a complaint against me?

If answer is silence (which is a response) - Do 180 degree turn and walk out of there.

If you watched this video along with the first video you would realize that he is telling you to be skeptical at first and to not talk to the police... no point in trying to bash an honest profession.

I would have liked to have asked a question...I was Always under the impression that IF an individual had the stones to tell the cops that they invoked their 5th amend. rights and refused to speak, the cops would basicly come back and say: "Well, now we KNOW that you are guilty!" and Still try to "work them" into making a statement because ALL cops Are Dicks!

@ about 2:30, I can vouch for this. I screwed myself this way once, stopped for 75 in a 60 in WA state. No way it was accurate due to the angle and traffic the cruiser was behind. But in the course of talking to the deputy, I admitted that I might have been doing 63, which to this day I think I was. When I went to court with diagrams and reasons why I thought the radar was wrong, the judge agreed with me. But because I had said 63, I still got a ticket. Reduced fine, but it still sucked.

It is illegal for you and I to lie to the police or the government. There is no law preventing them from lying to us in an effort to trap us.

dks442 cont'd. Given the chance, I would like to share my views with the officer giving this presentation.

Then again, I hope that our paths never cross....

I'm not even four minutes into this, and I've got this guy all figured out. Typical law enforcement Us-vs.-Them mentality. To him, we're all "stupid." We're "not as innocent as we think" (his words, not just an inference on my part). Every time I've ever talked with a police officer/state trooper, I've experienced the same thing (and no, I don't mean because I'm in trouble all the time). Even giving a statement to a trooper as witness to a car accident recently, the same attitude came through.

Police openly give you your miranda rights, anything you say can and will be used against you and cannot be used in your favour. When people tell you that anything you say can and will be used against you, you should automatically not say anything. They aren't evil, they are just doing their job.

It seems as if cops just want to put people in jail even if they are innocent

Putting innocent people in prison, dishonoring an oath and enforcing unlawful statutes upon innocent, unsuspecting and ignorant citizens is not honest.

Unfortunately in some states they are making it illegal now to record police. Hopefully these will be struck down.
